Connect your personal LinkedIn profile and Ashley - your social media agent - drafts the post, generates the image, and puts it in an editable card in your chat. You read it, change what you want, and tap Publish. It lands on your feed with a real permalink.
The connection does one thing: write posts to your own feed. It cannot read your messages, your connections, or anyone else's content - because Unyo never asks LinkedIn for those permissions.
Your profile and your company Page are two separate connections
This page is about your personal profile. Posting as your brand is a different integration with its own permissions - see LinkedIn Page. They're stored as two separate connections and both can show Connected at once - but Unyo's LinkedIn publisher can't currently tell them apart, so posting fails while both are connected. If you need to post today, keep just the personal connection; connect the Page when you want its analytics.
What connecting LinkedIn unlocks
With Ashley (your social media agent):
- Ask for a post, get a finished draft card - caption, hashtags and a generated image, with a LinkedIn preview tab. You can draft LinkedIn posts before you connect anything; the connection is only needed to publish.
- Edit it by talking - "make the hook sharper", "make the image brighter", "add another image", "I don't like it, redo it". Each is a real edit on the card, not a re-run.
- Publish to your feed with one tap, with images uploaded properly through LinkedIn's own Assets API - not a link preview, real attached images. You get the permalink back.
- Publish to several platforms from one draft - tick LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X on the same card. They go out in parallel, and each reports its own result, so a LinkedIn hiccup never blocks the Instagram post.
- Schedule it from the card for a time in your own timezone, then ask Ashley what's queued, reschedule it, or cancel it.
- Bring your own brand - say "use my logo" or "use my colours" and Ashley pulls the real brand kit from your Neural Core. Name a product you've saved and she uses its actual photos as reference.
What LinkedIn does not unlock: Ashley's toolbox is enforced at runtime, not suggested in a prompt. Connecting LinkedIn gives her the ability to post to your feed and nothing more. It gives every other agent nothing at all - Maya still can't touch social, and Ashley still can't touch your inbox.
Ashley never posts on her own
There is no unattended publishing anywhere in Unyo. Publishing requires you, signed in, tapping the button on the card. Automations that run while you're offline prepare the draft and stop - that's not a setting, it's how the code is built. The voice agent can draft a post too, but it cannot publish it: you tap the card.
Connect LinkedIn
- Open Integrations from the sidebar (or go straight to
unyo.app/integrations). - Filter by Social, or search for LinkedIn.
- Click Connect on the LinkedIn card - the one without "Page" in the name.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and approve the permissions. LinkedIn's consent screen is shown every time you connect, so you can always see exactly what you're granting.
- You land back on Integrations. The card now shows your name - that's how you know which account is connected.
If Ashley needs LinkedIn mid-conversation and it isn't connected, she pauses instead of failing, and hands you a Connect button. When you come back, the run picks up exactly where it stopped - you don't retype anything.
What Unyo asks LinkedIn for
Four permissions. That's the whole grant.

What Unyo deliberately does not ask for
Each of these is a permission we could request and don't:

There is no read permission on your feed, your messages, your connections or your notifications in this grant. Ashley can write a post to your feed. She cannot see what's on it.
What Unyo does with your data
- Your access token is encrypted at rest. It's stored through a database-level encryption routine - never written to or read from a plain column. As of 16 July 2026, every populated OAuth token column in production was verified encrypted at the cipher-byte level. Zero plaintext tokens exist.
- Your token is never logged, never returned in an error, never put in a queue payload, and never shown in the chat stream. It's decrypted transiently, used to make the one call to LinkedIn, and dropped.
- Your data is not used to train any model. Every model Unyo runs is under a no-training, no-retention guarantee.
- Your connection is yours alone. Row-level security scopes it to your account - 109 of 109 public tables are covered, verified live on 16 July 2026.
- Delete your account and it all goes. Account deletion purges roughly 80 tables atomically, including your LinkedIn connection row.
Limits worth knowing before you draft

Example prompts
Write me a LinkedIn post about why we rebuilt our onboarding from scratch. Keep it personal, no corporate voice, one clear takeaway at the end.
Take that post, make the opening line hook harder, and generate an image that isn't a stock-photo handshake.
Scheduling a LinkedIn post
Scheduling is done from the draft card: open the card, choose Schedule, pick the date and time in your timezone. Unyo's internal scheduler publishes it within the minute of its due time, with automatic retries on transient failures and a hard cancel guard that re-checks right before it fires.
Once a post is queued, you can talk to Ashley about it - "what's scheduled?", "move Friday's post to 10am", "cancel the scheduled post" - and she'll list, reschedule or cancel it.
Schedule from the card, manage by chat
Setting the time happens on the card. Everything after that - listing, moving, cancelling - you can just ask for.
Honest note on LinkedIn analytics
Personal LinkedIn profiles have no analytics in Unyo, because LinkedIn's API doesn't provide them. Not a roadmap item we're hiding - the data isn't available to third-party apps for member profiles. Ask Ashley for your LinkedIn stats on a personal connection and she'll tell you it's unavailable rather than invent a number.
What you can get:
- Company Pages do have analytics - follower count, impressions and clicks - through the separate LinkedIn Page connection.
- Per-post metrics (likes, reach, saves per post) exist only for Instagram and Facebook. X and LinkedIn are refused by design, because their APIs don't expose them.
- Best-time-to-post and hashtag rankings are computed from your own posts' real engagement across the platforms that do report it. Where there's no data, Ashley says so instead of guessing.
Disconnecting and revoking
To disconnect: Integrations → the LinkedIn card → Disconnect. Your connection row is deleted and any cached analytics for LinkedIn are purged.
Disconnecting LinkedIn also disconnects your LinkedIn Page
Both connections are stored under the same platform, and Disconnect removes both. If you've connected a company Page, you'll need to reconnect it afterwards.
To revoke at LinkedIn: you have to do this yourself, and here's the honest reason - LinkedIn does not offer an API that lets Unyo revoke its own access on your behalf. No third-party app can. So we won't claim it.
Go to linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services and remove Unyo. That's the authoritative revocation, done at the source, by you.
The same is true when you delete your Unyo account: we purge everything on our side and revoke at every provider that offers a revoke endpoint. LinkedIn doesn't, so account deletion tells you plainly that LinkedIn revocation is not supported and points you at the same link.
Troubleshooting
"Reconnect LinkedIn" / the card says expired. LinkedIn access tokens expire - this is normal and expected. Unyo shows the expiry on the card rather than failing silently. Click Connect again; the consent screen reappears and you're back in under a minute.
Publish failed with a permission error. Usually a connection made before a permission changed. Disconnect, reconnect, approve the consent screen, and try the card again.
The post published but the image didn't attach. Check you're under 9 images. Images beyond the ninth are dropped for LinkedIn while staying on the card for the other platforms.
The card says LinkedIn isn't connected but the Integrations page says it is. The publish check runs against the live connection every time and fails closed - it would rather block than post wrong. Refresh Integrations; if the card there still shows your name, disconnect and reconnect to refresh the token.
Multi-platform publish came back "partial". That's working as designed: each platform reports its own outcome. Look at the per-platform result on the card - the ones that succeeded have permalinks, and you can retry only the one that didn't.

FAQ
Can Ashley post to LinkedIn without me?
No. Publishing requires you to tap Publish on the draft card while signed in. There is no unattended publishing in Unyo - not as a default, not as a setting. Automations that run while you're away prepare the draft and stop there, and the voice agent can draft but cannot publish. Draft-never-send is enforced in the code, not promised in a prompt.
Can Unyo read my LinkedIn feed, messages or connections?
No. The only meaningful permission Unyo requests is w_member_social - write a post to your own feed. There is no read permission on your feed, your inbox, your connections or your notifications in the grant. The other three permissions (openid, profile, email) exist so the Integrations card can show you which account is connected.
Can I connect my personal profile and my company Page at the same time?
They're stored as two separate connections and both can show Connected at the same time - but Unyo's LinkedIn publisher currently can't tell them apart, and posting fails while both are connected. Until that's fixed, keep the personal connection alone when you want to post, and connect the Page when you want its analytics. Disconnecting LinkedIn removes both. See LinkedIn Page.
Why can't I see my LinkedIn analytics?
Because LinkedIn's API doesn't give third-party apps analytics for personal member profiles. It's a platform limit, not something we haven't built yet. Company Pages do report follower count, impressions and clicks - that data comes through the separate Page connection. Rather than fill the gap with an estimate, Ashley tells you it's unavailable.
Can Unyo revoke its own LinkedIn access when I disconnect?
No, and we'd rather say so than let you assume otherwise. LinkedIn publishes no revocation endpoint for third-party apps. Disconnecting deletes your connection and your token from Unyo - which is real and immediate - but the grant on LinkedIn's side is removed by you, at linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services. Any tool telling you it revoked your LinkedIn access for you is telling you something the API doesn't allow.
Is my LinkedIn data used to train AI models?
No. Every model Unyo runs operates under a no-training, no-retention guarantee. Your post content is used to do the job you asked for and nothing else, and your access token is encrypted at rest and never enters a log, an error message or the chat stream.
