Ask any agent what's on your Thursday and you get your real Thursday - pulled live from Google Calendar, in your timezone, from every calendar you can see. Ask for a meeting and you get a confirmation card, not a surprise in your schedule.

Unyo ships 14 calendar tools. They read, they search, they check availability, and they write - but every write goes through a card you click.

Calendar is a separate connection

Connecting Gmail does not connect your calendar, and connecting Outlook does not either. Google Calendar is its own connection with its own permission screen. Outlook Calendar is not supported - the Microsoft connection covers mail only.

What you can do

Read your schedule

"What's on this week?" - the next 7 days by default, up to 50 events.
"What time is it?" - a zero-credit clock tool, on top of the current date and time that is injected into every agent prompt in your timezone.
"Find my meetings with Alice" - a full-text search across titles, descriptions, locations and attendee names, from 30 days back to 90 days ahead.
"Show me the details of the design review" - title, times, location, description, organiser, every attendee with their RSVP status, the recurrence rule, and the video-call join link if the event has one.
"Which calendars do I have?" - every calendar in your list, with your access level and its colour.

Check availability properly

"Am I free Thursday at 3?" - the free/busy check defaults to every calendar you have reader access to (up to 50): your primary, your secondary calendars, the ones shared with you, and the dedicated calendars Unyo creates. Not just primary.

Change things - with a click

"Book a call with jean@acme.com Friday 10–11 in the Paris office" → an editable confirmation card. It's written to Google when you click, not before.
"Move the design review to 4pm" → an update card.
"Cancel Friday's standup" → a delete card, red and destructive on purpose.
"Accept the invite from Sarah" → Accept / Decline / Tentative buttons.

Organise your calendars

"Create a calendar called Family" - new secondary calendar, in your timezone.
"Rename it to Family & School and make it green" - 24 calendar colours available.
"Delete the Family calendar" - through a confirmation card. Your primary calendar cannot be deleted this way; the tool blocks it.

How to connect

Open /integrations from the sidebar.
Find Google Calendar and click Connect.
Sign in with your Google account.
Review and approve the calendar permission.

That's the whole flow. If a calendar tool ever answers with a "reconnect" message instead of your events, your Google grant expired - reconnect from the same page and it works again on the next message.

Why Calendar asks separately

Gmail and Calendar are different Google permissions and we request them separately, on purpose. If you never connect Calendar, no agent can read a single event - the permission simply isn't there to use.

Every write is a card

Four tools change an event, and none of them talk to Google directly. They render a card, and the actual write happens when you click it.

Change your mind about one field and the rest survives - the agent sees the current state of the card you're looking at, so "make it 45 minutes instead" doesn't wipe your attendees.

Creating a calendar doesn't ask

create_calendar and update_calendar run immediately with no card - making or renaming an empty calendar is harmless and fully reversible. Deleting one always asks.

Timezones are not decorative

Deno runs in UTC. Your calendar doesn't. So every relative expression - "tomorrow", "next Tuesday", "in two hours" - resolves against the current time in your timezone, injected into every single agent prompt from your settings (never a hardcoded city, never inferred from an IP), and every time it reads back to you is local. DST included.

This is why "book it tomorrow at 10" lands at 10:00 your time, and why an agent will tell you the local time of an event rather than the UTC instant behind it.

The calendars Unyo creates for you

Maya keeps a dedicated Google Calendar for email planning - "Maya - Email Planning", named in your language across 11 languages, coloured Grape. Ashley gets her own the same way. They're normal Google calendars: hide them, recolour them, or delete them like any other.

Which agents can see your calendar

Nine of the ten. The calendar toolbox is mounted for every agent except Steve - the website builder has calendar access stripped from his toolbox at the runtime layer, not just discouraged in a prompt. He can't read your schedule because the tools don't exist in his session.

This is the same boundary model as email, just pointed the other way: Maya is the only agent with your inbox, but your calendar is shared context for the team.

Limits worth knowing

What the calendar tools do not do

No recurring-event creation. Agents can read a recurrence rule on an existing event, but they cannot create or edit one. Set up repeats in Google Calendar directly.
No Meet link creation. If an event already has a video call, the agent reads the join link. It can't add one.
No Outlook Calendar. Google Calendar only.
No automatic booking. Nothing is ever written to your calendar without your click. There is no "let the agent manage my schedule" mode, and there isn't one planned as a silent one.
Free/busy spans at most 3 months per query.
Event lists cap at 50 results per call.

Troubleshooting

"I clicked Create and it told me Calendar isn't connected." The confirmation card is deliberately rendered before the connection is checked - we'd rather show you the event we understood than block on a permission screen. Connect Google Calendar from /integrations and ask again.

"It found no events but my calendar isn't empty." Two usual causes. The default window is the next 7 days - say "show me next month" to widen it. Or the events are on a secondary calendar and you asked about a specific one; ask the agent to list your calendars first, then search the right one.

"It says my connection expired." A revoked or expired Google grant. Reconnect from /integrations. The agent will tell you rather than silently returning zero events - a calendar that looks empty because of an auth failure is worse than an error message.

"Free/busy said I was free but I had something." Check whether the event lives on a calendar you only have free/busy visibility on rather than reader access - the query covers everything you can read, up to 50 calendars.

"I asked it to delete a calendar and it asked which one." Two of your calendars matched the name you used. Name it more precisely, or ask it to list your calendars and refer to the exact title.

FAQ

Can an agent put something in my calendar without asking?

No. The four event-writing tools don't call Google at all - they render a confirmation card and stop. The write happens in a separate step triggered by your click. Deleting an event or a calendar adds a second, explicitly destructive confirmation on top.

Does it check all my calendars or just the main one?

All of them. The free/busy check defaults to every calendar you have at least reader access to - primary, secondary, shared, and the dedicated ones Unyo created - up to 50. That's the whole point: availability that reflects real conflicts.

Can I use my Outlook calendar?

Not today. The Microsoft connection covers mail only (read, write, send). Calendar support is Google Calendar exclusively.

Can an agent create a weekly recurring meeting?

No. Agents read recurrence rules on events you already have, but creating or editing a repeat isn't in the toolbox. Create the series in Google Calendar; agents can then read, search and RSVP to it normally.

Why did connecting Gmail not give agents my calendar?

Because they're separate Google permissions and we ask for them separately. Requesting calendar access from everyone who wants email would be exactly the kind of over-broad scope we've spent this year removing. If you don't connect Calendar, no agent can read an event - the permission isn't there.

What happens to my calendar data if I delete my account?

Account deletion revokes your Google grant and purges your rows. Events already in your Google Calendar stay in your Google Calendar - they're yours, in your account. See Your data and deletion.
